Diane M. Davidson, M.D.

Diane M. Davidson, M.D. received her Bachelor of Arts form Yale University graduating Magna Cum Laude. She completed her medical school at Duke University where she graduated with honors.

Dr. Davidson is board certified in dermatology and pediatrics. She completed residency training in pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania and some years ago, practiced pediatrics in New London, CT. She, subsequently, completed a dermatology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine New York.

Dr. Davidson has been practicing general dermatology in New London County for more than fifteen years. She has a special interest in skin cancer and skin cancer surgery, ultraviolet therapy and cosmetics. She is skilled in Botox and Restylane injections and instructs other dermatologists in these skills.

Dr. Davidson is on staff at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital and is an associate clinical professor at Yale where she supervises Yale dermatology residents.

Dr. Davidson resides in Waterford, Connecticut with her husband, three teenage boys, two dogs and a varying number of other pets.

 

 
Jeffrey K. Shornick, M.D. M.H.A.

Dr. Shornick received his Bachelor of Arts at University of California, Berkeley and attended medical school at U.C. San Francisco. He completed his dermatology training at Dartmouth Medical College where he was selected Chief Resident. Following a two year research fellowship at Southwestern (in Dallas), he moved to the University of Connecticut where he served as Clinical Director of Dermatology for six years.

In 1992, Dr. Shornick relocated to Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound in Seattle. There, he combined the practice of dermatology with administrative roles, including Medical Director of the Medical Review Unit) and Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. He received his MHA (Master, Health Administration) from the University of Seattle in 1999.

In 1999, Dr. Shornick was named a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow and served in the United States Senate, working predominantly on the prescription drug benefit for Medicare.

Dr. Shornick was named a “Best Doctor in America” by Woodward and White in 1998 and again in 2005. He is the current Dermatology representative to the Connecticut Medicare Carrier Advisory Committee, Treasurer of the Connecticut Dermatology Society and serves on several Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees. Dr. Shornick is board certified in Dermatology. He has published extensively in leading dermatologic journals and textbooks. He is married and has two children and two grandchildren. He and his wife live in Salem.

 

 

Sarah E.S. Overmoyer, P.A.-C.

Sarah E.S. Overmoyer, PA-C received her Master of Science in Health Science and Physician Assistant training at George Washington University after earning a B.S. in Biology at Washington and Lee University. She is nationally certified to practice by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants.

Sarah is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Connecticut Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.


She sees and treats both general dermatology patients as well as cosmetic patients. She is specially trained to use lasers in dermatology. Sarah has been practicing at Eastern Connecticut Dermatology since 2000.
