Narrowband UVB is a new treatment that has proven to be the most effective treatment option for thousands of psoriasis patients.  It is a light treatment that only includes a narrow range of wavelengths of light, unlike conventional light treatments.  This increases efficacy while minimizing harmful effects such as burning or increased skin cancer risk.  Research is ongoing for other conditions including eczema, vitiligo and mycosis fungoides. 

Eastern Connecticut Dermatology also has a light box specific for hands and feet, for patients with conditions limited to those areas.
