Sclerotherapy is the “gold standard” treatment for leg veins.  Leg spider veins vanish with injections of an agent called Sotrodecol.  The YAG laser may also be used for leg veins.

There is minimum discomfort with treatments and one may return to most usual activities afterwards.  Support stocking must be worn for 2 weeks after treatments for best results.  More than one treatment is usually needed.  Treatments may be 2 months apart.  There is significant bruising for 2 - 3 weeks after treatment.
