Here at Eastern Connecticut Dermatology we use the KTP and V-Beam lasers to treat redness and blood vessels of the skin - particularly the face.  These lasers are highly specific for blood vessels and are therefore highly effective and safe.  Rosacea, telangiectasias (visible red lines), angiomas and port wine stains can all be treated.

The treatment involves minimal discomfort.  Temporary bruising or swelling are possible, but most have only flushing after treatment.  We also have Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) that can be used to treat most vascular lesions.  IPL also treats pigmented lesions because it is not specific for blood vessels.
