The Sciton Hair Laser employs the newest technology to treat unwanted hair. The laser only treats pigmented (brown or black) hair. This laser goes deeper into the follicle than other hair lasers.   The Sciton Hair Laser is safe on dark or tanned skin.   Multiple treatments are required with all hair lasers. Generally 3 to 5 treatments will reduce hair 80%.   The Sciton laser is generally less painful than other hair lasers, but a topical anesthetic may be used in some cases.   There is usually some redness after a treatment. Hair falls out in 1-2 weeks.   Treatments are generally 6-8 weeks apart. Hair does not have to be grown out for a treatment, but no waxing or plucking prior to treatments.
